Polyglot Gathering in Prague 2024: Another Year of Exciting Games and Presentations from Language Enthusiasts from All Over the World.
The year 2024 brought yet another thrilling Polyglot Gathering, this time we met in the enchanting city of Prague, Czech Republic. One of the largest events for language lovers and polyglots from all over the world happens annually in spring. At this year’s event, 735 polyglots from 71 countries met to share mutual passion for language.
Each year, Polyglot Gathering is loaded with engaging presentations, various fun language activities and talks. This year was no exception. Attendees had the chance to hear a multitude of inspiring presentations and to meet fellow language enthusiasts from around the world.
In addition to hearing so many wonderful presentations and the diverse linguistic content, we also immersed ourselves into the local culture. Prague, with its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, had a lot to offer. We had the opportunity to try local food and use the “street Czech” language that we picked up which added another layer to the whole experience.
The event is open for all levels, all you need is a love for languages. It provides everyone with the chance to practice their speaking skills and discover new methods of learning. Whether you are a professional teacher, you like to learn for fun, or if you are a complete beginner, everyone is welcome.
We had the opportunity to showcase our game, Ludikon, during the event. The passion for languages and the spirit of innovation have always been at the heart of KomunIKON which is reflected in Ludikon. This game allows us to communicate in a fun and intuitive way, using icons to convey meaning. Sharing our mission and vision with other language enthusiasts from around the world was truly amazing.
We introduced Ludikon to the participants, who were challenged to use their creativity to decode the icons. Each icon represented a specific word or phrase, designed to be internationally recognizable. This activity not only sparked creativity but also fostered a deeper understanding of visual language.
In the same festival, we also presented our project at the Networking Event and at the Polyglot Expo, with great interest of the participants.
The Polyglot Gathering was fun and full of enriching experiences, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Polyglot Gathering v Praze 2024: Další rok plný zajímavých her a prezentací od jazykových nadšenců z celého světa.
Rok 2024 přinesl další vzrušující Polyglot Gathering. Tentokrát jsme se setkali v okouzlující Praze, hlavním městě České republiky. Jedna z největších akcí pro milovníky jazyků a polygloty z celého světa se koná každoročně na jaře. Na letošní akci se setkalo 735 polyglotů ze 71 zemí, aby sdíleli společnou vášeň pro jazyky.
Každý rok je Polyglot Gathering plný poutavých prezentací, různých zábavných jazykových aktivit a přednášek. Letos tomu nebylo jinak. Účastníci měli možnost vyslechnout si množství inspirujících prezentací a setkat se s dalšími jazykovými nadšenci z celého světa.
Kromě tolika úžasných prezentací a různorodého jazykového obsahu jsme se také ponořili do místní kultury. Praha se svou bohatou historií a živou atmosférou měla rozhodně co nabídnout. Měli jsme příležitost ochutnat místní jídla a využít „pouliční češtinu“, kterou jsme pochytili, což celému zážitku dodalo další rozměr.
Akce je otevřená pro všechny úrovně – vše, co potřebujete, je láska k jazykům. Každý má možnost procvičit si své komunikační dovednosti a objevit nové metody učení. Ať už jste profesionální učitel/ka, učíte se pro zábavu nebo jste úplný/á začátečník/začátečnice, všichni jsou vítáni.
Během akce jsme měli příležitost představit naši hru Ludikon. Vášeň pro jazyky a duch inovace byli vždy srdcem KomunIKONu, což se odráží i v Ludikonu. Tato hra nám umožňuje komunikovat zábavným a intuitivním způsobem pomocí ikon, které předávají význam. Sdílet naši misi a vizi s ostatními jazykovými nadšenci z celého světa bylo opravdu úžasné.
Představili jsme Ludikon účastníkům, kteří byli vyzváni, aby použili svou kreativitu k rozluštění ikon. Každá ikona představovala konkrétní slovo nebo frázi, která byla navržena tak, aby byla mezinárodně srozumitelná. Tato aktivita nejen rozproudila kreativitu, ale také prohloubila porozumění vizuálnímu jazyku.
Na stejném festivalu jsme také představili náš projekt na Networkingovém večeru a na Polyglot Expo, kde účastníci projevili velký zájem.
Polyglot Gathering byl plný zábavy a obohacujících zážitků a těšíme se, až se s vámi všemi uvidíme příští rok!

Polyglot Gathering in Prag 2024: Ein weiteres Jahr voller aufregender Spiele und Präsentationen von Sprachbegeisterten aus aller Welt.
Das Jahr 2024 brachte ein weiteres spannendes Polyglot Gathering, diesmal trafen wir uns in der bezaubernden Stadt Prag, Tschechische Republik. Eines der größten Ereignisse für Sprachliebhaber und Polyglotte aus aller Welt findet jährlich im Frühling statt. Bei der diesjährigen Veranstaltung kamen 735 Polyglotte aus 71 Ländern zusammen, um ihre gemeinsame Leidenschaft für Sprachen zu teilen.
Jedes Jahr ist das Polyglot Gathering mit fesselnden Präsentationen, vielfältigen und unterhaltsamen Sprachaktivitäten sowie Vorträgen gefüllt. Auch in diesem Jahr war das nicht anders. Die Teilnehmer hatten die Chance, eine Vielzahl inspirierender Präsentationen zu hören und Gleichgesinnte aus der ganzen Welt zu treffen.
Neben den vielen wunderbaren Präsentationen und der vielfältigen sprachlichen Inhalte tauchten wir auch in die lokale Kultur ein. Prag, mit seiner reichen Geschichte und lebendigen Atmosphäre, hatte viel zu bieten. Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, lokale Speisen zu probieren und das "Straßen-Tschechisch" zu verwenden, das wir aufgeschnappt hatten, was der gesamten Erfahrung eine zusätzliche Dimension verlieh.
Die Veranstaltung ist für alle Sprachlevel offen, alles, was man braucht, ist die Liebe zu Sprachen. Sie bietet jedem die Möglichkeit, seine Sprechfähigkeiten zu üben und neue Lernmethoden zu entdecken. Egal, ob man professioneller Lehrer ist, zum Spaß lernt oder ein kompletter Anfänger ist – jeder ist willkommen.
Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, unser Spiel Ludikon während der Veranstaltung vorzustellen. Die Leidenschaft für Sprachen und der Innovationsgeist standen schon immer im Mittelpunkt von KomunIKON, was sich in Ludikon widerspiegelt. Dieses Spiel ermöglicht es uns, auf eine unterhaltsame und intuitive Weise zu kommunizieren, indem wir mit Symbolen Bedeutung vermitteln. Es war wirklich großartig, unsere Mission und Vision mit anderen Sprachbegeisterten aus aller Welt zu teilen.
Wir stellten den Teilnehmern Ludikon vor. Die Teilnehmer wurden herausgefordert, ihre Kreativität einzusetzen, um die Symbole zu entschlüsseln. Jedes Symbol repräsentierte ein spezifisches Wort oder eine Phrase und war so gestaltet, dass es international verständlich war. Diese Aktivität weckte nicht nur die Kreativität, sondern förderte auch ein tieferes Verständnis der visuellen Sprache.
Auf demselben Festival präsentierten wir unser Projekt auch beim Networking-Event und auf der Polyglot Expo, wo es großes Interesse bei den Teilnehmern weckte.
Das Polyglot Gathering war voller Spaß und bereichernder Erfahrungen, und wir freuen uns darauf, alle nächstes Jahr wiederzusehen!

Rassemblement des polyglottes à Prague 2024 : une autre année de jeux passionnants et de présentations de passionnés de langues du monde entier.
L'année 2024 a apporté un autre Polyglot Gathering passionnant, cette fois-ci, nous nous sommes rencontrés dans la charmante ville de Prague, en République tchèque. L'un des plus grands événements pour les amoureux des langues et les polyglottes du monde entier a lieu chaque année au printemps. Lors de l’événement de cette année, 735 polyglottes de 71 pays se sont rencontrés pour partager une passion commune pour la langue.
Chaque année, le Polyglot Gathering est plein de présentations captivantes, de diverses activités linguistiques amusantes et de discussions. Cette année n'était pas l'exception. Les participants ont eu la chance d’entendre une multitude de présentations inspirantes et de rencontrer d’autres passionnés de langues du monde entier.
En plus d'entendre tant de merveilleuses présentations et un contenu linguistique diversifié, nous nous sommes également immergés dans la culture locale. Prague, avec sa riche histoire et son atmosphère vibrante, avait beaucoup à offrir. Nous avons eu l'occasion de goûter à la cuisine locale et d'utiliser la langue « tchèque de rue » que nous avons apprise, ce qui a ajouté une autre couche à l'expérience.
L'événement est ouvert à tous les niveaux, il suffit d'aimer les langues. Il offre à chacun la possibilité de mettre en pratique ses compétences orales et de découvrir de nouvelles méthodes d'apprentissage. Que vous soyez professeur professionnel, que vous aimiez apprendre en vous amusant ou que vous soyez complètement débutant, tout le monde est le bienvenu.
Nous avons eu l'occasion de présenter notre jeu, Ludikon, lors de l'événement. La passion pour les langues et l'esprit d'innovation ont toujours été au cœur de KomunIKON et se reflètent dans Ludikon. Ce jeu nous permet de communiquer de manière ludique et intuitive, en utilisant des icônes pour transmettre du sens. Partager notre mission et notre vision avec d’autres passionnés de langues du monde entier était vraiment incroyable.
Nous avons présenté Ludikon aux participants, qui ont été mis au défi d'utiliser leur créativité pour décoder les icônes. Chaque icône représentait un mot ou une phrase spécifique, conçue pour être reconnaissable à l'échelle internationale. Cette activité a non seulement stimulé la créativité, mais a également favorisé une compréhension plus profonde du langage visuel.
Lors du même festival, nous avons également présenté notre projet au Networking Event et à la Polyglot Expo, avec un grand intérêt de la part des participants.
Le Rassemblement Polyglotte a été amusant et plein d’expériences enrichissantes, et nous avons hâte de revoir tout le monde l’année prochaine!
